
Nathan Matamua
Nathan Matamua, of Tūhoe decent, has recently worked as a junior research officer with the Centre for Indigenous Psychologies at Massey University, Aotearoa New Zealand. A member of the He Taonga Ke Te Ngahere and SO2 teams, as part of the National Science Challenges New Zealand's Biological Heritage, his research work and experience has been predominately centred around the environment, particularly from a Maori cultural perspective. The recent submission of his Master thesis, centred around Maori astronomical knowledge and its application to environmental management, is a foundation for his future research experience within the current research project.
